Welcome

Hi! My name is Brandon and I specialize in creating dynamic and artistic portraits for events, parties, families and weddings. Of course my passion is photography. I love to travel and capture all what this world has to offer. This passion is only made real for me by the love of my Lord Jesus Christ. Pretty much I love to do anything that involves taking pictures and being able to capture special moments for people that they will treasure and remember for all of their lives! Thanks for reading my blog and please check back often for updates!!!

Jason and Julie {Wed} in Brenham, Texas

Well we are finally getting caught up on the blogging. Today I am super excited to post our very first Texas wedding ever! Like I had said in an earlier post we were so thrilled to be able to document Jason and Julie’s love for each other in this capacity. We count it pure joy and humbling to be able to document such a special part in peoples lives. I first met the Evans family on my first trip down to Honduras  last year. I got to see the family’s love so deeply for not only each other but for others as well. It was so cool to be able to drill a water well along side such a beautiful family. I couldn’t help but think of how much I wanted to have my future family resemble the same qualities and characteristics as the Evans family. Needless to say that when they asked I would be willing to come to Texas to shoot Julie’s wedding I was beyond ecstatic! Not only was it going to be our first wedding in Texas but to be able to work for one of the nicest, sweetest families I have ever met was the deal breaker.

One of my favorite things about this wedding was that there was so much family history in every little detail. They got ready in the house where her Grandfather built in the early 1900’s. Its called the Fairview Bed and Breakfast. Look at how beautiful it is.

Always a little craziness when the girls get ready.. so much different than the guys :)

A quick little pre-wedding  “Bananogram” sess.. I have never heard or played it before but it looked super fun!! Aparently a HUGE thing over at College Station :)

The preparation for the wedding ceremony.. I love these shots!

This is where the ceremony and reception took place. Its called the Gidding Stone Mansion and it was built in 1870 and is still completely intact! Its beyond beautiful!

I LOVED the shots inside this beautiful house!

…and the live jazz band!

The sparkler send off!

This is probably my favorite shot of the day.. Whenever one of the Evans kids would leave home for a long time like when they were younger a vaction or when they were older and went off to college. Mom and Dad would always stand on the front porch waiving the I love you sign with their hands for as long as they could see the person leaving.  They would sign each other for as long as they were in sight. If you look closely, you can see Julie and her Mom giving each other this “i love you” sign to eachother as they drove away! I thought that it was just a really sweet touch to end the night!

It was a beautiful day in so many different ways. Their only prayer was that God received all the glory from the day and it was pretty evident that this was the case!

I think what made it such a pleasure to work for this family is that they have treated us like family from the beginning. Providing trip details, time-lines, and travel arrangements. Welcome baskets upon arrival to our hotel room. Food provided for every meal. Even after the wedding was over Kristin and I decided to extend our stay and see what Texas had to offer (Enjoying the rodeo, Tim McGraw in concert, and some good ol’ Texas BBQ!) the Evans family extended this hospitality all throughout our stay. They completely blew us away with their amazing generosity! We love you all so much and are really excited to come back and visit ya’ll real soon ;)

Zach and Shawn {Engaged}

Happy Monday everybody!! Another beautiful sunny day here in Southern Cali. I was so excited to shoot Zach and Shawn down in Laguna ever since our first meeting. They were so fun,  sweet and totally genuine. They have such a relaxed vibe that I wasn’t surprised at all when they said they wanted to take their engagement photos at the beach.  And you can see why in these photos.  I don’t recommend the beach for most of my clients. Other than the fact that most of our clients dont even go to the beach on a regular basis, the beach doesn’t even have a real important impact on their life. We recommend a location that will truly bring out the personalities of the couple so it all fits together. In this case the beach was a perfect place for these two. I think they fit so harmonious together in all these shots.

We had some amazing light all day long..

After wardrobe change number 2 we headed down to the beach again for some last minute sand pictures. The sun had already settled behind a huge marine layer and were loosing light fast. However I think it really help create some dramatic setting for these next few “romantic” photos. I think these are actually my favorite shots of the day..

Happy Easter!!

He is Risen! I hope all of you have a wonderful day with your families!! Lord Bless!

Break Free Ministry

A couple of weeks ago a few friends of mine asked me to do a photo shoot for their Break Crew. I was thrilled! I am fascinated with all the moves, technique, skill and strength required to pull off such acrobats. What made me even more stoked was that this crew is apart of the Break Free Ministry. Break Free is a ministry centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ in attempts to reach various people in the hip hop/breaking communities through the use of dancing and other artistic outreaches. The name derives from Galatians 5:1 that says “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. ” Bringing to light that with Christ, and Christ alone, you can “Break Free” from the pain and consequences of sin. How awesome is that!

I just wanted to give a little shout out to   Josh, Swalley, Tim, Vince, Emily and liz for doing such a great job showing off your moves! You guys rocked it! Enjoy!

Ryan and Lisa {Engaged}

Well we are finally back from all our traveling.. It has been an incredibly busy last 3 weeks!! Needless to say I am super behind on my blogging!!

So I just wanted to give you a sweet little engagement session we shot before all our travels. Meet Ryan and Lisa. These two are super fun and totally sweet with each other. They share a lot of similar interests included reading various novels, drinking exotic teas, wine tasting and foods of all sorts for that matter. Actually Ryan is a darn good chef and teaches professionally. We negotiated cooking lessons for some photography lessons.. Do I hear double date..?  Anyways we got a lot to catch up on the next couple of weeks but wanted to give you guys a little sumin’ sumin’ to enjoy right now. Thanks for being so patient :)   Enjoy!!

Back to Honduras!

Well home was fun.. for the day we had to do laundry the head back out :) We had a blast in Texas with Julie and Jason’s wedding this past week and now we are off to Honduras. I went twice last year with Living Water Int’l and it was incredible. This year I am even more excited in two ways. First I am super excited because this is mine and Kristin’s first time going on a mission trip together as husband and wife! I am SOOO thrilled I cant wait! Secondly we were so blessed to be able to raise enough money last year to actually sponsor the construction of a brand new water well this year. Praise the Lord! We are so thrilled that we are able to be apart of this whole thing and bring back pictures to share with all you back home! Thank you to all our clients who choose to give their portion of the wedding collection back to charity and more specifically Living Water. To read more about our vision please check it out HERE!
