Derek + MaryJane

Hi everybody! Man this has been quite a busy season already with 8 engagements shoots in the last 2 weeks!! Its shaping up to be quite a year for our studio and have been so blessed by all the wonderful couples we get to work with!

Here are one of those wonderful couples Derek and MaryJane. I was super excited when they asked me to be their photographer not only because I knew they would be totally fun to work with but also because from the moment we met and signed the contract she was already talking about how she wanted to shoot in her Cowgirl boots and get a vintage/country flare to their pics.. I knew that we were going to have a good connection from there and I had just the right place in mind..  So enjoy!

I love these flowers..

We had such a beautiful day and the weather was perfect! I love the light in all these shots..

I love this shot!

As I was taking this shot above I looked right over my shoulder and saw this.. Only got one shot before it flew away.. Pretty sweet
Hahaha.. This one makes me smile with them every time I look at it!

I loved their chemistry with eachother. They were fun, loving and just genuine with each other. I think it really came out in their photos..

And probably my favorite shot of the day.. not sure though.. you guys decide and leave a comment :)

We had such a great time that day and I look forward to shooting their wedding in October. They ordered an engagement sign in book and I think we got some killer stuff to use to make a sweet one!

Mark + Tara

Today I had the privilege of shooting Mark and Tara. Tara was the one responsible for recommending me to Melissa and David, a prized find that has turned into quite a nice little friendship. Mark and Tara just moved into a beautiful home in Aliso Viejo and wanted to take pictures near their new house because they thought it would be a nice house warming gift as well as they thought it would provide a beautiful backdrop to take photos and boy were they right!  It didnt take very long at all to find this beautiful spot!

Always a fan of using light.

Awesome color and texture.

And by far my favorite shot of the day..

I look forward to shooting their wedding at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course with my favorite vendors! Seriously the best service I have ever received at a wedding! 1st Class!

Christina + Tarek Engaged

Well Im back and had a wonderful trip. Just before I left I had the opportunity to shoot Christina and Tarek pronounced like “Car Wreck”.. as Christina pointed out since our first meeting. This fun and stylish couple was such a pleasure to shoot. Not only were they totally photogenic, but they were incredible easy going.. well until I tried to get them to crawl in the bushes :) Tarek you were a good sport man! I think you will see though that the shots came out awesome from the day. So check them out.

I think quite possibly one of the coolest doors ever!

Super dramatic…

Like I said good sport Tarek

I love the contrast in these next few shots..

Like I sad I think the shots came out awesome! I am looking forward to shooing their wedding down on Coronado Island in San Diego.. So I will see you both in a few weeks!

Josh + Krista

Last week I had the opportunity to shoot two of my friends Krista and Josh down at the Santa Monica Pier. I have come to know these two individuals pretty well over the last couple of years and when they asked me to be their photographer I was thrilled. I felt that the pier was a perfect fit for these two enthusiastic, thrill seeking love birds. There are lots of colors and a ton of energy.

I loved the color match.. bright blue staircase with bright blue outfits. Totally didn’t plan it but I think it worked awesome!

See I already have been around Krista and Josh so I know how they interact with eachother. I knew that it wasnt going to be a problem to get these two to be comfortable in front of the camera.. or to get Krista to smile…

I love all the commotion.

Old shipping creates

I think this is one of my favorite shots of the day.

Killer sunset.

The once the sun was completely down we headed under the pier and got some really cool shots.

Josh is really involved with a break dance ministry called Break Free and really wanted to get a picture of him breaking/posing it up for his lady.. I love that Krista doesn’t look impressed at all in the photo… haha priceless. Maybe because Josh can bust out more crazy moves then this..

We had a great time and I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding in a couple of weeks :)

Adrian + Nicole

A couple of days ago I had the privilege of shooting Adrian and Nicole! I was so excited to shoot with them for two reasons: I love to shoot and because I had never met them before. Nicole booked with me to shoot their wedding without meeting me.

This is not the first time that this has happened but it is just such a compliment to know that they appreciate your work so much that it isn’t a necessity to meet. Along with that I had shot her friends wedding earlier in the year and although Nicole had not attended the wedding she said that I came highly recommended.  Thanks Natalie!

I love the light..

My fav shot of the day!

These guys were so funny they could not stop laughing every where we went.. I love seeing that!

For some reason I love shooting near or on the streets, I think they have so much energy and really help the photos come to life.

We found this sweet field that I thought would be a perfect fit for these two.

It was amazing working with and getting to know Adrian and Nicole.  I think the photos turned out awesome and had a blast doing it.  I am really looking forward to their wedding down in San Diego in July!

Tim + Eileen Engagement Shoot

I had the recent privilege of taking Tim and Eileen to one of my favorite place to shoot.. I love the feel of California’s Missions. The cool old brick, the spanish architecture, but mainly the diversity of textures and colors. They all help make the pictures come to life.

These two were just so comfortable with each other. I remember they were a tad late for our shoot and we were running out of time before the mission closed. Usually it takes a little bit before people are comfortable having a huge camera right in front of their faces. But not these two.. they were totally pro!

Fav shot of the day!

Thought this little guy was cool..

I just LOVE the light in these next few shots.. SOO COOL!

I had a great time and I think we got some killer shots.. I cant wait for your wedding at the Hilton Waterfront in Huntington Beach. See you soon!
